Y9/10 students are invited to apply for a place at Leicester University Summer School Residential 24-27th June 2019

This is an exciting opportunity for students interested in Arts & Humanities, STEM or Medicine.

  • Summer School is fun! It’s a different type of experience to school and a great chance to try life as a university student out
  • It’s free! All meals, accommodation (student halls), social activities, travel and equipment are paid for by Leicester University
  • It’s not lots of lectures. The activities are interesting, hands-on and get students thinking
  • There’s plenty to do in the evenings – sports and activity night, zumba, disco, karaoke, games room, film night, plus a TV lounge and social area
  • Students have an opportunity to meet new people and make new friends!

Places are limited to 8 per school (students that attended last year are unable to apply)

These summer schools are strictly aimed at students from a Widening Participation background as stipulated by Leicester University. All pupils attending must hit at least one of the below criteria to attend:
 Looked after child

If pupils are interested in the Medicine strand, they must also be studying for a minimum of 8 GCSEs and be predicted/on track to achieve at least 6 GCSES at grades 9 – 6, and have an interest in studying medicine in the future.
