What does he do?

  • To provide dynamic and strategic direction, leadership and accountability on all aspects at The Brunts Academy. 
  • To ensure high quality leadership and management of team leaders at all levels so their work secures good progress. 
  • To deploy people and resources efficiently and effectively to meet specific objectives in line with the academy’s strategic plan and financial context. 
  • To develop policy, practice and processes to ensure robust and rigorous quality assurance that will lead to actions that ensure an outstanding quality of learning for all. 
  • To be accountable to governors for ensuring high standards in all areas of the academy. 
  • Construct relevant T2T sections and monitor the impact of actions to ensure outcomes.

What does he do?

  • To ensure that the behaviour and attitudes of all students are exceptional throughout the academy.  Including- 

     o    Pupil voice, racial equality, anti-bullying 

     o    Alternative provision 

  • To ensure that students personal development is at the forefront of all that we do. Including- 

     o    SMSC, British Values 

     o    Healthy living, citizenship, equality, diversity 

  • Construct relevant T2T sections and monitor the impact of actions to ensure outcomes. 
  • To act as Designated Safeguarding Lead for the Academy. 

Sarah Bailey-Wiles

What does she do?

  • To determine the strategic development of the SEN Policy and provision in order to raise achievement of students with Special Educational Needs. 
  • To act as the named SENCO. 
  •  Take responsibility for the day to day operation of the SEND Policy and co-ordination of the provision made for individual students with additional needs, including liaison with agencies and providing professional guidance and support to staff. 
  • To secure additional funding and deploy staff and resources efficiently to achieve best practice principles. 
  • Construct relevant T2T sections and monitor the impact of actions to ensure outcomes.

What does he do?

  • To ensure that the behaviour and attitudes of all students are exceptional throughout the academy.  Including- 

     o    Attendance 

     o    Scholastic excellence 

     o    Behaviour, exclusions 

  • To ensure that students personal development is at the forefront of all that we do. Including- 

     o    IAG, careers provision 

     o    Admissions, transition 

     o    Pupil Premium 

  • Construct relevant T2T sections and monitor the impact of actions to ensure outcomes. 
  • To act as Designated Safeguarding Lead for the Academy.

What does she do?

  • To ensure that the curriculum design is appropriate for our learners and has thorough breadth of coverage for all.   
  •  To ensure that curriculum delivery, teaching and assessment are effectively carried out throughout the academy. 
  •  To ensure that attainment and progress of all students is the very best that it can be.   
  • Construct relevant T2T sections and monitor the impact of actions to ensure outcomes.
