Year 11 Mock Interviews - 23rd November - The Brunts Academy

Year 11 Mock Interviews – 23rd November

The Brunts Academy is looking forward to welcoming  the following employers/providers  who are currently scheduled to conduct mock interviews with our year 11 students on the 23rd November 2018 at Brunts:

Confetti, DWP/Job Centre Plus, Design in Motion, Feather Partnership, Fidler & Pepper Lawyers, Kier Construction Limited, Nottingham Trent University, Mansfield Building Society, Mansfield Palace Theatre, Police, Get my first job – Project Ask, RAF, Robert Woodhead Ltd,  Sheffield Hallam University, SF Media,  Strategic Planning and Advisory (East Midlands), Severn Trent Water, Teacher Active , TW Recruitment, West Nottinghamshire College, and Vision University Centre

I would like to thank all the above employers for taking time out of their busy work schedules to come and support this activity. Employers have been invited based on our students current careers aspirations and the present labour market in our area. Students have been matched as far as possible to an employer based on their careers ambitions/CVs/interests. However, sometimes it is not always possible to get specific employers in for each students chosen career.

Mock interviews will take place during the normal school day and all year 11s will be offered a mock interview. The duration of each interview will be approximately 20 minutes.  It is important that students are prepared for interview, know who they are meeting, arrive in plenty of time,  have their CVs with them and are dressed smartly in school uniform or business wear. Lessons will take place as normal during the school day and students will be expected to arrive at least 10 minutes before their interview in the sports hall.   An interview schedule will be on display in the sports corridor that morning which all year 11 students will be requested to refer to on mock interview day as often the schedule may change during the day for instance if an employer is unable to make the event due to their work commitments.   If this happens, I will do my best to allocate them another interviewer on the day.  I will ensure as far as is possible that all students get an interview and if  necessary I will  re invite an employer who may not have been able to make it due to circumstances beyond their control.

The mock interview schedule will be shared with year 11 students on Monday via their tutors with more details on  their  actual interview timings and the employers they will be meeting.  All students are required to bring a CV with them to  their mock interview and to make sure it is the best they can make it.    I hope they enjoy their  mock interview experience and also make the most of this  great networking opportunity with employers and training providers. If any student needs any further help with this, they need to contact me direct at school.
